It's been a while...

So, I've been really absent lately. I'm 7 weeks out from having a sweet baby boy, and to be honest, blogging hasn't been high on my priority list for quite some time. Nevertheless, here are the highlights (that I've actually taken pictures of) of the last few months.

Ab got her hands on a blue permanent marker (not exactly a highlight, but it was one of those frustrating moments that I thought to take angry pictures of!)

We had Easter dinner with Spencer's family.

Made myself a car seat cover:

Abby turned 3! Here she is unwrapping presents from my parents with my mom on Skype.

She wanted a Piglet party (not Winnie the Pooh and Piglet--just Piglet.) We had a party with pink, dark pink, and silver colors, and a menu of Piglets in a Blanket with Hunny Mustard sauce, Tigger's Twisted Pasta Salad, and fruit.

Also Piglet's favorite treat-acorns made of Nutter Butters and Hershey's Kisses.

Those boys, always wearing their Boston gear.

My 3 year old!

 At 40.5 weeks pregnant!

... And here is Brady Marshall Lythgoe, born 6 days past his due date on May 29, at 6:12 pm.
A full birth story will come later, but the short version is I had mild, infrequent contractions during the day, which didn't become regular or painful until 5 pm, and he was born naturally w/out an epidural less than an hour later. There was (again) mecconium in my water, and so Mr. Brady needed lung therapy and oxygen treatment.

As well as the bili lights!

Abby was SO excited to have her brother home.

More to come, I hope!

Slacker

So, I need to get my act together and post about crap before this baby comes--4 weeks or less, people!!
I've been working a ton, and there have been a lot of changes going on around here- including a new job for Spencer! I've been (barely) on Insta and that's about my social media these days. Oh, and FB stalking.

This also happened a few months ago:

Big girl loves her big girl bed. She just turned 3 on Saturday, and we are still so in love.
Hopefully I'll have some interesting things to talk about soon, and some time to do it in!

Okay, People (the Tangled obsession continues...)

I need to get real here. Oregon Coast Part 3 isn't coming as fast as I'd like.

In the meantime, here's a little video of something Abby likes to do for us lately- Vladimir's sad face in Tangled. She knew I was filming her, obviously, so she kept smiling during her frowny face, but I think she's still a pretty cute Vladamir.

Grandparent Visit!

Before I post about all the other stuff I mentioned before, I want to highlight the visit from my parents! They came to stay with us the very afternoon we got back from our Oregon Coast trip, and stayed for 3 days. We hung around and ran errands most of the time; in fact, looking at the pictures I took it appears that the only think we did was play with the iPad and other various devices.

Abby super loves her Nama and Grandad, and we are SO happy they were able to come and see us!

 Watching the Itsy bitsy spider...
Come again!!

Randomness and a black eye

While I'm working on Vegas post 2, I thought I'd post some random pictures of the last few months.

Abby went through a little phase where she would create what she calls a "book chair." I think it might be self-explanatory.

Charlie came over for a visit a few weeks ago, and we watched the Celtics game.

Several weeks ago while I was working, Abby was playing outside and thought she'd go after a Rapunzel bike a neighborhood girl was riding. It didn't end well. She took the handlebar in the eye!
She got a black eye and some scratches. It really blossomed over the days afterward and deepened in color, but these were taken the night of the accident and the following day.

Poor girl. There is no trace of the black eye anymore, but it must have been pretty traumatic because she still talks about the fact that a little girl hit her with a bike.
These are old pictures- it's difficult to catch this girl since she's always on the run.
