It appears she is ready. Disregard my last post.
P.S. The "chocolate face" comment I made refers to the chocolate ice cream on her face that is not really visible on the video.
And for those who like to see what a little attitude this girl is getting, here is another, that was taken about a week ago.

Upset little walker (and 100th post, woot)
*Update* I've gotten Abby to take several steps this afternoon by herself. This video is indeed dated. Oh well.
This video was taken a few weeks ago, at the beginning of July. Spencer posted it on Facebook, but I thought I'd throw it on here too. Since this video was taken, Abby has taken several steps on her own (all in the presence of Spencer, not me. Grrrr...) She can walk, she just doesn't want to walk. It's a little long- and the two teeny steps she takes is at the end of the video.
We have come to the conclusion that she will have to make the decision to walk on her own because if we push her to do it, as shown in the video, she gets upset and sits down. Silly girl. I know I shouldn't be impatient for this whole business to go down, because once she gets the hang of it she'll be that much more difficult to keep track of, but I sort of can't help it.
Moms, when did your little ones start to walk?
P.S. How excited am I that Project Runway is starting next week?? Very. The answer is very.

Happy Yellow Stripey
I made another skirt! Yay!
I like the yellow. I hardly have any yellow.
And I love the chevron stripe.
I debated whether or not to make a skirt or a bag... what do you think? Did I make the right decision?
I am planning on making another one in a different color, and when I do, I was going to make a tutorial to post. Is anyone interested to see?
Check back to see when it posts!
Linking up at Sugar and Dots, My Girlish Whims, 504 Main, and 30 Handmade Days!
I followed a tutorial I found over at Ucreate from Elizabeth and Elizabeth over at Simple Simon & Co.

Appreciation
So, we did it again-
Cow Appreciation Day!
Remember this post from last year?
I was accused earlier this week by a coworker of being a crazy person because I not only subjected my baby to this madness last year for free food, but that I was planning to do it again this year. Umm, please tell me that I'm not the only cheap person out there who enjoys free food? Abby thoroughly enjoyed her meal so I don't think anyone's complaining.
Anyway, we traveled to South Jordan to be with our cousins Chloe and Colton. We figured that while one may feel utterly (udderly? No? Not funny?) ridiculous dressing one's self in cow attire and asking for free food alone with a paper snort taped to one's nose, it is less ridiculous when you do it with other people.
We got ourselves free meals, thank you Chick-fil-A!
( For some reason I had my snout paper obscuring my glasses. Arg.)
Hope you had a good day too!

Polka Dots
I made things!
Does anyone care? Probably not. But I have felt like making things lately, and I did. Originally when I started this 4th of July dress it looked totally different in my head... but whatevs, this is what came out of it.
Horray for red, white, and blue!
All handmade. With handmade bias tape. Fancy, I know. Don't look all that closely because it isn't perfect.
BACK:
I also made Abby this shirt a few weeks ago, but I didn't have the opportunity to take a picture of Abs in it until the other day when Carrie and her kiddos came to play.
So there you go. I just thought I'd show you all what I've been up to lately.
If anyone is interested in a tutorial, just let me know, it will fit around a 12-18 month, but of course it can be modified. I am planning on making another one this month.
Happy 4th of July weekend!
